My Photography
My art and my spiritual practice are closely linked. As a photographer, I am intrigued by the interior messages that emanate from within natural sources, constructed environments, and people and try to capture and record these interior presences. They can be feelings, happenings or even the "spirits" that pass through my photographic imagery. My intention is to stimulate the viewers' imaginations by having them draw upon their personal experiences in order not only to appreciate but also to interpret the art. I have chosen photography as my medium because it is the science of the impression of light, as my art is the exposure of elusive impressions. My images are photographed using silver halide black and white film. Every image is then printed on 11" x 14" silver halide paper that is archivally treated. Each museum quality photograph has a limited edition of 30 prints.
